Wow. Lawd Jesus, it's an English textbook—run away from it.
"Need to be replace." I've only seen the tendency to drop the whole concept of tense in the past 5 years or so. What the hell is happening to people's brains? F it. It's all happening right now. F tense.
I need to replace.
It needs to be replace.
It was replace.

So it just needs glow plugs? Someone's going to get a steal (maybe - at work, so can't craigslist to see if there's anything else going on).

Allow me to translate:
"Greetings good fellows! This vehicle upon which you are currently fixated is my professional mode of conveyance. I have always done my utmost to procure the best sundries and parts for my automobile, until one fateful day when the injectors took a turn for the worse. My mechanic, a rather cheeky fellow, was all sixes and sevens and required excess compensation to repair it! Woe, woe, woe is me! In my deepest moment of despair, I set aside my deep love of this vehicle and threw my affections to another. But alas, that vehicle also now needs repair, so I must part ways with this, my most favored flower. I warn you, the glow plugs have run afoul of the dark prince. But there is hope! I know of a wizard who can repair them, for the sum of four hundred pieces of silver. It works fine on a midsummer morn, but on days of winter, I draw from the power of the sun to warm the motor."
There you go.

I'm seeing something similar lately that drives me nuts. They keep the tense and drop whole words.
The tires need replaced.
The carpet needs cleaned.
Entries need recieved by x/xx date.

what's the cost difference between a spark plug and a diesel plug?
(not saying they're interchangeable, just wondering if the job would be about the same cost. i've never owned a diesel.)

It's an entirely different beast. It's not as easy as changing spark plugs, but isn't the biggest deal in the world. You have to remove the valve cover to get at them.

Don't even start. That drives me f'ing insane. Like cock my eyebrow and ask "English: Do you speak it?" insane.
Listen, I say ain't all the time. All the time. "Ain't" isn't half as hard on the ears as "the X needs Xed."
